culture

We at humATix are committed to providing an inclusive environment for all, regardless of gender, age, gender identity, race, health status, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and religion. We aim to make everyone feel heard, and strive to bring hope & health to ALL we work with.

Ken Follett is an athletic trainer, healthcare provider, and CEO of humATix LLC with nearly a decade of experience in athletics, physical rehabilitation, and industrial ergonomics. "I believe that meeting the needs of others is more than just a physical response to exercise or modalities; there are also mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects that influence our health and wellness. I enjoy continued learning, acquiring new tools, and using my skills to educate and guide others toward improved movement, function, and health."

Ken's interest in human performance, sports medicine, and injury prevention began in his early years of high school while he was an athlete. After a decade of business experience, he obtained his BS in Athletic Training at Grand Valley State University in 2016 as a non-traditional student. "I didn't always know exactly how I wanted to use my education and skills until I worked with tactical and public safety athletes in a clinical setting. These underserved professionals need someone who can speak to the physical performance aspect of their job and relate it to how they function on the job."

Ken Follett is a devoted husband and father of four. He spends his free time with his family, biking trails or playing with his dog. "There's a chance you may find us at the local ice cream shop during the summer and sledding in the winter."

about the founders

Tara Follett, our Brand and Community Manager, is deeply committed to the values we aspire to as a company. Her dedication, especially as she builds the company alongside her husband, is truly inspiring. Together, they stand in gratitude and bring hope to those they partner with.

Before joining us as the Brand and Community Manager, Tara spent eight years in early childhood development, a field where she honed her skills and ran her own in-home preschool program for three years. Her role as a paraprofessional in an elementary school for the last seven years further deepened her understanding of the importance of community. "Working with children has taught me invaluable lessons. Their ability to find joy in life, despite the complex adversities they face, is a testament to the power of community, regardless of age."

The culture of humATix is not just a concept for the Follett family, it's a way of life. Tara's experience working with the school's mental health team, addressing behavior challenges and DBEI topics, and growing awareness on school socials, has been instrumental in shaping our culture statement and our commitment to inclusive healthcare.
